Pizza Salvatoré is founded by Salvatoré Abbatiello, a young Italian immigrant who came to Canada after World War II.
The 3rd generation, consisting of 5 brothers and sisters, buy the company from their parents. At this point in time, more than 50% of sales are generated from the all-you-can-eat buffet.
The five siblings open their first DELCO pizzeria (Delivery & Carry-out) without a dining room. This idea proved fruitful – despite the building being half the size, its revenue was significantly higher that the buffet’s and its operations considerably simpler.
After opening 50+ corporate pizzerias, Pizza Salvatoré welcomes outside investors with its brand-new franchising program.
